Before we talk about what to declutter on National chocolate cupcake day, I want to remind you that if you have extra foil cupcake liners they make great spill catchers. Before placing any potentially sticky jar or bottle onto a pantry shelf or refrigerator compartment, stick it in a foil liner. That way if there’s any mess, it will be contained in the liner and not drip, causing you extra clean up.
Now here is a short list of things to focus on decluttering on National chocolate cupcake day. Remember, take inventory as you go. That way you know what to buy, replace, or skip purchasing – even if it is on sale.
- Rusty, warped, or otherwise unusable muffin tins
- Expired box cupcake mixes
- Stale cupcake sprinkles
- Old tubs of icing
- Cracked or broken cupcake carriers
