Today on National Boston Cream Pie Day we are going to declutter pie related clutter which includes:
- pie plates
- pie slicers
- pie crust protectors
- pie weights
As it turns out Boston Cream Pie is one of my favorite flavor combinations. Cream and chocolate. It is my nephew’s favorite doughnut flavor. For his birthday I made him a Boston Cream Pie Cake. Basically I baked a vanilla cake, after it cooled I sliced it in half horizontally. I filled it with French vanilla pudding, and topped it with chocolate ganache. It was delicious. I’ve also done this in cupcakes as well – equally yummy!
