My grandma made the very best pierogis. I wish I had her recipes to share with you on National Pierogi Day. Over the years I’ve tried out a few recipes, but none come close. Today let’s not only declutter onions from the onion bin that have gone a little gooey (you are welcome for that visual) but let’s do one other thing: preserve a treasured family recipe.
If you don’t know how to make it, ask the person who does, before you can’t ask them. If you are lucky enough to have a copy make sure you have a copy in a safe place, maybe snap a photo and email it to yourself? That’s what I wish I had done.
